Mark MacAulay joins the Cougars as new Assistant Coach

The Cobourg Cougars are excited to announce that Mark MacAulay has joined the organization as an Assistant Coach (joining existing Assistant Coach Tom Foster). Mark is originally from Brighton Ontario and played for the Cougars (with Armour) from 2011-2014. Mark most recently was on the Coaching staff for the Don Mills Flyers U16 AAA team of the GTHL as an Assistant Coach last season.

“Mark will be an excellent addition to the coaching staff. He has a great mind for hockey, is extremely detailed and is passionate about the Cobourg Cougars organization. We couldn’t be happier to have him join our staff” said Connor Armour Head Coach for the Cougars.

“I am extremely happy to be joining the Cougars staff, having played most of my junior hockey in this town I know how much this team means to the community. Just stepping back into the amazing facility that we call home brought back so many memories. I knew that If I was going to make the jump to junior, Cobourg was the right place” said MacAulay about being in Cobourg again. “It’s amazing seeing some of the same faces still volunteering around the rink and attending games. That says something about the organization and community. I can’t wait to be back in the CCC every Monday night.”

Welcome to the Cougars Mark!
