Founded in 1964 and based out of Cobourg, Ontario, the Cobourg Cougars are a member of the Ontario Junior Hockey League in the East Division.
Every year, the Cougars strive towards their mission statement to ” Lead, develop, and promote positive hockey experiences with an emphasis on teaching goodness, discipline, and knowledge and virtues of family and community.”
In 2017 the Cobourg Cougars became RBC Cup Champions, in their home rink no less, the Cougars’ power on the ice is not just recently found. There is a more than generous smattering of past Cougars’ names among past and present Division 1, Division 3, CIS, OHL, QMJHL and NHL rosters.
Over the past half-century, the team has grown enormously and is always pushing to continue doing so. The Cougars cannot wait to see what the 2020-2021 season has in store and thank you for your ongoing support!
