The Cobourg Cougars would like to announce that Tate Philips will be joining the club as its Director of Hockey Operations for the 2024/25 season.

With 25 years of hockey experience, Tate is known for his ability to mentor and develop elite players, propelling them towards successful careers in hockey. He has contributed to various levels of the sport, ranging from the National Hockey League to junior leagues, particularly excelling at the junior level and has excelled at guiding promising prospects towards their professional aspirations.

As the founder of a leading development management organization, Tate orchestrates a comprehensive infrastructure designed to support players throughout their careers. This includes not only superior on-ice training but also holistic lifestyle development and career guidance. His proven methodologies have produced top OHL and NHL draft picks, alongside numerous players earning NCAA scholarships.
