Last night at the Cobourg Memorial Arena, the Cobourg Cougars teamed up with their rivals, the Dixie Beehives, to deliver a 1 - 2 punch for the Salvation Army Food Hamper program.
It was "Cobourg Community Hockey League" night, and any of our young future-stars who wore their team jersey, and brought a donation for the Salvation Army, received free admission to the game.
The two cart-loads of donations were gratefully received by Jake Flegel of the Cougars, Phil Beatty - President of the CCHL, Lisa Graham - Food Hamper Coordinator for the Salvation Army, Matt Kaludis of the Cougars, Louie Gialedakis - Head Coach and GM of the Dixie Beehives, and Jordan Furlane of the Beehives.
The ceremonial face-off was take by two members of the Tyke division of the CCHL, Halley Dudley and Parker Post.
